There are a number of reasons why people put on weight and there are thousands of different diets out there that claim to be the best diet ever. However for most people with no medical conditions that prevent it, losing weight is simple.
If the amount of calories you put into your body is less that the amount that you exert through exercise and general activity then you will lose weight. If the amount of calories you put into your body is greater than the amount expended through exercise and general activity then you will put weight on.
I have taken many people successfully through weight loss therapy over the last 14 years and virtually none of them have a bad grasp of dietary needs. They knew exactly what they should be eating they just weren’t doing it. Why? Because most people don’t know how to control their thinking. So they look for the quick fix. The promise of quick weight loss.
There is very little evidence to suggest that quick weight loss works in the long term. I believe in a healthy pattern of eating that is sustainable over a long period of time, where the person is looking to lose an average of 1-3 lb a week and no more.
How is this done? Not by a fad diet but by changing the way the person relates to food, how they think about it and how they can take control over their thinking.
How do I do this? Well it depends on the person. There are several different techniques that I use including,
The Thrive Programme, Hypno-Band, and clinical hypnosis.
